As an experienced counsellor in North Hertfordshire, I work in a private counselling practice that I offer from my home in Hitchin..
I also see clients in the Chesham/Amersham area of Buckinghamshire as a member of the Chiltern Counsellors Network.
I believe in offering “talking therapy” that is tailored to each individual’s needs – whether that is open-ended work that explores long-term issues or short-term work that is focused on a particular – perhaps only temporary – problem.
I have trained both in psychodynamic counselling to Diploma level, and also in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy techniques for anxiety and depression in particular. After a 30-year career in the UK media, I have been involved in the Mental Health sector since 2010, including working for several years for The Samaritans.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and I work with all my clients to the standards and requirements of the BACP Ethical Framework.
